What We Offer
-
Individual therapy provides a confidential and supportive space to explore what you are experiencing and develop healthier ways of coping with life’s challenges. Many people seek individual counseling when stress, anxiety, trauma, or major life transitions begin to feel overwhelming or difficult to manage alone. Therapy can help you better understand your thoughts, emotions, and patterns while building skills that support long-term resilience and emotional wellbeing. In our work together, we will focus on helping you process difficult experiences, strengthen emotional regulation, improve relationships, and reconnect with your sense of purpose and stability. My approach is trauma-informed and strength-focused, recognizing that seeking support is often an act of courage and resilience.

Couples counseling offers a structured and supportive space for partners to work through challenges and strengthen their relationship. Many couples come to therapy when communication has broken down, conflict feels repetitive, or emotional connection has begun to fade. Therapy provides an opportunity to slow down, better understand one another’s perspectives, and develop healthier patterns of interaction. Through couples counseling, partners can learn practical communication skills, rebuild trust, and deepen emotional connection. The goal is not only to resolve conflict but to create a stronger foundation where both partners feel heard, respected, and supported as they navigate life together.

First responders regularly encounter high-stress and critical situations that can have lasting psychological impacts. Rooted Resilience Counseling offers specialized support services designed to help departments and personnel process critical incidents, strengthen resilience, and promote long-term mental wellness. Services include Critical Incident Stress Support, peer-supported debriefing teams, and pre-incident training to help prepare individuals and organizations for the emotional demands of emergency response work. Additional offerings include mental health awareness and wellness initiatives and resilience-based services that focus on strengthening coping skills, reducing burnout, and supporting the overall wellbeing of first responders and their teams. These services can be tailored to meet the needs of individual departments, leadership teams, or peer support programs.

Brainspotting is a neuroscience-informed therapy that uses focused mindfulness to access and process deeply stored stress, trauma, and emotional experiences. Grounded in a developmental and neuroexperiential approach, it works by identifying “brainspots” that connect to where these experiences are held in the brain, allowing for deeper healing beyond traditional talk therapy. By engaging the brain and body together, brainspotting supports nervous system regulation, strengthens resilience, and promotes lasting emotional and mental clarity. It is especially effective for first responders and military personnel, helping reduce the mental load of high-stress work while improving relationships, job performance, and overall physical and mental well-being.
This service can be utilized as a stand-alone service or in conjunction with individual sessions.
